| The
selling of altogether about three million tickets for the
FIFA World Cup in Germany is divided into five phases during
which two different procedures of distribution will be applied:
The tickets are either allocated by draw or according to the
order in which the application forms are received.
During the first sales period from 1 of February
to 31 of March 2005 the official Ticketing Center received
8,7 million orders out of which the actual receivers of tickets
were allocated from 15 of April 2005 on by electronic draw.

The second sales period startet on 2 of May
and this time the tickets are allocated on a 'first come,
first served' basis, i.e. applications will be processed in
the order they are received. The period ends when all tickets
have been taken up, or on 15 of November 2005 at the latest.
Due to a very high demand there are no individual
tickets and team specific ticket (TST) series available at
present time for the following nations: Germany, Argentina,
Brazil, England, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands,
Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the USA.
The third sales period will begin on 12 of December 2005 and
end by 15 of January 2006. The 300.000 tickets will be allocated
by electronic draw on 22 of January, that means that every
application properly submitted during the sales period stands
the same chance to win at the draw.
During the fourth sales period starting on
15 of February 2006 the tickets will be processed in the order
they are received. Ticket allocation will end with all tickets
set aside for this phase being allocated, or by 15 of April
latest.
The fifth sales period will start on 1 of
May 2006 and will end latest by 9 of July 2006. Ticket applications
submitted during this phase will again be processed in the
order of receipt. During this phase tickets will be allocated
via the internet as well as via selected advance booking centers
at the venues from 15 of May on.
